This pictures sums up the Memorial Day weekend. We went out to see Dan's cousins in Lodi on Sunday afternoon. We ate dinner together and then checked into the hotel about 9pm. Since the room had 2 queen beds, that was no problem- just we weren't tired at 9pm- so the three of us stayed up to 10:30pm. Russell loved his bed and the TV right in front of it;-)
On Monday morning, we went back to the cousins' house and the kids played and we had the BBQ at 1pm. We left for home shortly after 3pm since we knew traffic would be heavy. Yes, that was an understatement. We sat (or drove about 5 mph) in 4 to 6 lanes of traffic for almost two hours. Good times in California! Russell zonked out in the car and was back to his energetic self once we got home. It's always great to be back on the Peninsula!

Gotta endure the holiday traffic or stay home, I guess. I was at the coast and sat in traffic on the trip too. I kept thinking, "Why are all these people out? Don't they know it is a holiday and the traffic will be bad?"
Glad you had a good time.
too cute.
we were heading back home from a family bbq and I noticed the traffic. Luckily we were going north and everyone else was going south to leave the state.
We saw a bazillion campers. Bug loved that.
But boy was it a long weekend. So much to do. A wedding, a bbq, a day in the yard. I was exhausted. Still am.
Aww...he's so cute! Traffic is so awful, at least you were with the men you love the most ;-)
This all sounds like the perfect weekend. He is such a sweet boy there snoozing away.
