Over the past two weeks, I've stayed up too many late nights- but it has been worth it when I enjoy the novels so much and my time doesn't feel wasted like it does when I read modern literature. In between the pages, I get a good cry when Bets dies and I feel the anxiety when Hilary Gordon supposedly gets engaged, and relief when Pat realizes it's not Silver Bush she loves but Hilary.
I'll wait a few more days to start the next novel. I want to ponder the story line a little longer before I slip the books back onto the shelf for another year or more:-)

I'm trying to remember if I read either of those as a kid. They sound familiar....
Fun!!
I've never read those. They sound beautiful!
I'm so glad you wrote about this! I LOVE L.M. Montgomery too. I'm a big fan of the Anne books. Haven't read the ones you mention here, but now I really want to.
Hubs and I went to PEI 3 years ago and saw the "real" Green Gables, Silver Bush, and the author's birthplace and grave. It was truly an amazing trip that I will never forget!
I've only read a couple of the Anne books, but I'm totally in love with the movies and the audio books (specifically Green Gables, Avonlea, Island, and Jane of Lantern Hill.)
