Nella's Mom

Kelle Hampton has a blog that was recommended from an online bloggie friend. Kelle is a home-grown photographer, wife, and mother to a beautiful toddler and new mom to another beautiful daughter named Nella. Nella was born with Down's Syndrome which wasn't discovered until her birth.

Tonight, Kelle will be interviewed on CNNI (international) at 4pm Eastern and the interview will be online afterwards. On her blog, Kelle seems like a very forthright and honest woman who loves her family and I'm looking forward to seeing her interview.

I recently read her birth story of little Nella (who I personally think is incredibly adorable!).

Yes, thanks to you for recommending the blog, I spent 2 hours one evening reading and reading and reading some more. I've never heard such emotions portrayed so honestly. Kelle is an amazing writer.

I am sitting here crying after having read her birth story. I can't imagine having to go through that, but it is so heart warming that love won at the end of the day. I want to go hug my kids tight! (Too bad they are in bed! Tomorrow!!)

Thanks for sharing this blog, Hillary. Her story is so moving and her blog is beautiful. One of my teen moms had a baby boy with Downs and he was so precious. She handled her situation with so much grace and love. Truly strength beyond her age of 15. I still think of them often.

Well, sometimes the unfortunate happens. I have seen a movie where a couple had twins. The boy was healthy but the girl had Down's Syndrome. The husband wich was also the doctor that delievered the twins decided to get rid of their daughter, because his wife was unconscious after the birth. The story happend in '64 and an untrasound was not possible at the time (so they did not know they were expecting twins). It takes patience to raise a child with special needs.
